This documentation is for setting up a sync for a remote datastore. (Your local PBS)
This feature allows you to synchronize your remote PBS to a Tuxis datastore.

Browse to portal.tuxis.cloud and log in with your DB number and password.
On the left side you will see a menu, click on Tuxis PBS ⇾ Create PBS ⇾ PBS Sync
Source PBS:
Select "Remote PBS"
Source PBS information:
Remote hostname: Fill in the remote hostname (FQDN) or IP.
Remote PBS port: Fill in the remote PBS port, default is 8007.
Datastore name: Fill in the name of your remote datastore.
Remote host credentials:
Username: Create a PBS user on your local/remote PBS.
Token name: For the above user, create an API token on your local/remote PBS.
Token secret: If you have created an API token, you will receive a token secret. (Make sure you store this properly, e.g. in a password manager!)
Permissions: Give the API token “DatastoreReader” permissions.
SSL fingerpint:
If you are using a self-signed certificate, enter the fingerprint of your PBS server.
If you don't have this, leave it blank! The connection to PBS will break as soon as we replace the certificate (which is the case once a year).
Sync interval:
Select how often the sync may run per day.
Location destination PBS
Select the location you want to synchronize your datastore to.
Configuration destination PBS
Fill in the name of your new datastore and how many TB you need for this datastore.
You can choose a fixed limit or grow as you go. Click on the ? to learn more about these options.
Other information:
Fill in your email address for PBS prune and error messages.
Optionally choose a relation you want to link this account to.
Click the orange button “check configuration” and you have set up your remote sync!
